What the portal is for.

The portal gives each client one private place to see the project files Studio Stratton wants them to have. It keeps files organized, easy to find, and separate from internal team notes.

1
For clients

See project files

Clients can open their portal and find the client-facing folders Studio Stratton places inside their Client Portal folder.

2
For the team

Share without extra emails

When the team adds a client-safe file to the right Client Portal folder, the client can find it in the portal.

3
For privacy

Keep projects separate

Each client login is connected only to that client’s Client Portal folder. They do not see other client projects or internal team folders.

What the portal can do.

The portal is intentionally simple. Clients should know where to log in, where to look, and how to send ideas or photos back to the team.

Secure access

Private client login

Each client uses their email and password to enter the portal. After login, they see only their own project.

Folders

Organized project hub

Folders can include Drawings, Invoices, Renderings, Agreements, Inspiration, Appliances and Plumbing Fixtures, Photos, and Uploads.

Files

Preview and download

Clients can preview common file types and download files when they need to save a copy.

Drawings

Latest plans in one place

The Drawings folder gives clients a clear place to look for the newest project drawings shared by the team.

Invoices

Billing files are easy to find

The Invoices folder keeps client billing documents separate from design files and photos.

Photos

Client uploads

Clients can upload inspiration photos, site photos, or other project images directly from the portal.

Ideas

Pinterest inspiration

Clients can paste a Pinterest link and save the image to their project Inspiration folder.

Mobile

Works on phone or computer

The portal is designed for simple use on desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.

Updates

New files appear in the portal

When Studio Stratton updates the client’s Client Portal folder, the portal reflects those files for the client.

How Studio Stratton keeps it updated.

The portal is easiest to use when the team keeps a clean Client Portal folder inside each project. Think of it as the public shelf for the client.

Only add files the client should be able to open. Keep internal notes, drafts, labor bids, pricing workups, and private team files outside of the client-facing folder.
Use simple names like Drawings, Invoices, Renderings, Agreements, Inspiration, Appliances and Plumbing Fixtures, Photos, and Uploads. Clients should not have to guess where something lives.
When there is a new drawing, place it in Drawings. When there is a new invoice, place it in Invoices. The portal will show files from those client-facing folders.
Use names a homeowner can understand, such as Kitchen Drawing Set, Invoice 003, Final Rendering, or Plumbing Fixtures. Dates can help when there are several versions.
If you send a quick email or text, use plain words. Example: We added the latest kitchen drawings to your Drawings folder in the portal.

How to prepare a new client for portal access.

Studio Stratton already has the right shape in the CLIENT TEMPLATE. The admin dashboard lets staff create the client login and connect it to the Client Portal folder without opening Supabase or any technical tools.

Project workspace

The full client folder stays internal

The template includes folders such as Agreements-Budgets-Financials, Engineering, Labor Bids, Meeting Notes, Photos, Drawings, Renderings, Cabinetry, Appliances and Plumbing Fixtures, and other finish selections. These help the Studio Stratton team run the project.

Client-facing area

The Client Portal folder is what clients see

Inside each project, use the Client Portal folder for files that are ready for the client. This is the folder Illume connects to the client login.

1Create or choose the project folder for the client, usually named by the client or project name.
2Use the CLIENT TEMPLATE structure so the project folder includes Client Portal.
3Place only client-ready folders and files inside Client Portal.
4Go to portal.studiostratton.com and sign in with a Studio Stratton staff account.
5Open Clients, then enter the client name, email, project name, Client Portal folder link, and password.
6Select Create Client Access. The dashboard checks the folder and creates the client login.
7Copy the welcome note and send it to the client.
What the staff dashboard asks for

The dashboard is designed for plain client setup. No one needs to work inside Supabase, Google Cloud, Vercel, or an agent tool.

Client setup fields

Client name:
Client email:
Project name:
Client Portal folder link:
Password:
Important reminder

If the dashboard says the folder is not named Client Portal, go back to Drive and copy the Client Portal folder link inside the client project.

Sign in, open Clients, fill out the setup fields, and select Create Client Access. The client can use the portal as soon as the success message appears.
Staff can type a password or select Generate. The welcome note updates with the password so it is easy to send to the client.
After the login is created, select Copy in the Welcome Note box. Paste that note into an email or text to the client.
Use Reset to make a new password. Use Deactivate if a client should no longer be able to open their portal files.
